Baker’s Encyclopedia of Christian Apologeticsby Norman GeislerA few weeks ago, I stumbled across this one in a used bookstore for $24. If you can find it that cheap or cheaper (check ebay), pick it up. You may have to think a little harder about it if you’re going to pay retail price. This book isn’t the kind that you sit down and read straight through for the fun of it. After all, it is an encyclopedia, and it set up very much like one. The articles are technical and often dry; however, I have never seen a compilation of this much material on so many different aspects of apologetics. To have it all in one place is worth every penny you’ll spend. I’ve already gotten more than $24-worth of material from my copy. For students of the bible—especially those interested in evidences—this book is a must have. EditorsStanding-Alone.com The Editors do not advocate everything taught by the authors of the books we review. Like us, these authors are fallible humans and those who choose to read these books should measure them by the bible, the one true standard. |
