Independent Bible Study

Independent Bible Study is a book written for the express purpose of helping you become a better student of the bible. Following its method, you will learn how to study a section of the bible, sentence by thought by thought, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph. It will teach you how to take your casual reading of the bible to the next step: a place where you will not only better understand how the writers' thoughts interrelate; but you can understand so well that you can turn around and teach others. The method of study Jensen uses, the "Analytical Chart," takes a little bit of extra work (i.e., thinking and writing); but the extra you learn will be well worth your trouble. Although there are other methods of bible study, this is easy enough for anyone to do.

Here's the catch. Independent Bible Study is no longer in print, so you can't run down to the book store and pick up a copy. There are copies, however, all over the internet. I've seen them on amazon.com's marketplace and on half.com for reasonable prices.

Grab a copy. It's worth the effort to find. It's worth the time to read. It's worth the extra work you'll do in your bible study because of it.
