The Global Flood of Noah

by Bert Thompson, Ph.D.

Dr. Thompson, who holds his Ph.D. in microbiology, argues for a global flood (as opposed to a local flood—i.e. just in Mesopotamia). Most of his arguments come strictly from Bible texts, as opposed to venturing into geology and science, which is where many local flood theorists look for support.

This short book is worth your while to read, but you probably won’t find any good arguments for your friends who don’t believe in the inspiration of the Bible. Dr. Thompson believes (or at least seems to) in the inerrancy of the scripture, and presents a solid case for a global flood based on the Bible.

In short, if you are interested in the flood, you probably want to read this. If you happen to stumble across it and see it for a good price, pick it up and add it to your collection. However, if the flood debate doesn’t interest you and it’s not readily available to you, you probably wouldn’t want to go out of your way to find it: it’s a good read, but not a must read.
