God: The Evidence-- The Reconciliation of Faith and Reason in a Postsecular World.by Patrick GlynnHere is an apologetics book that covered information I had not already seen published elsewhere. Among other things, he pointed to the anthropic principle and near death experiences as evidence for the existence of God and a soul, respectively. This wasn’t the most convincing evidences book that I’ve ever read. If you’re only going to read a few such books, I’d probably advise against this one. However, if you really like to read material on evidences or are just looking for something new to read, go ahead and grab it. It presents different material than most apologetics books, and does so in an interesting way. EditorsStanding-Alone.com The Editors do not advocate everything taught by the authors of the books we review. Like us, these authors are fallible humans and those who choose to read these books should measure them by the bible, the one true standard. |
