His Life

He was born to Mary, through Abraham's seed.
What He came to give is certainly what we need.
He created the world. He makes the sun rise.
Yet while in the temple, He questioned the wise.

He said to the people, "You're forgiven of all sin,
Now come, and I will make you fishers of men."
He lived a perfect life. The multitudes He fed.
But still, the people wanted our Lord Jesus dead.

He went to the garden, and prayed through the night.
Then when they came to take Him, He went without a fight.
His closest friends then left Him, as soon as there was strife,
But He fulfilled the promise, and quietly gave His life.
